Please join the celebration of “south asian” queer and trans* youth and art – as we launch the Q? Y Art? book!!

In 2012, Q? Y Art? Project ran a series of one-off workshops and an intensive program for “south asian” queer and trans* youth in the Greater Toronto Area. These workshops were facilitated by community-based artists including Masti Khor, Steve Khan, and Nadijah Robinson. Following the workshops, we put out a call for arts submissions as we wanted to put out a book of “south asian” queer/trans* youth and art.

We asked:

  • “Whose stories get told and whose are lost within queer and trans communities? Within “south asian” communities? On stages, pages or walls?”

We were answered with:

  • poems, drawings, photographs, and more!

Come celebrate beautiful/hard/real/fun stories of “south asian” queer/trans* youth and art. You can come to see the art, connect with community, and pick up your own free copy of the book!

A few surprise performances will take place – we are accepting donations at the event to pay the performers
